The results are in!

90 days ago, I decided to start taking my life, health, and my transformation seriously. After years of wanting and waiting for this change to happen, I decided to make the change happen. Here’s how it went:

Day 1 – 30

These days were definitely the most difficult, but they are also the days that I am most grateful for. These first 4 weeks was the spark that I needed to really ignite the rest of my journey.

My non-negotiables:
– no alcohol
– eating clean every day (not just during the work week)
– 4-5 days of movement each week
– drinking 2 liters of water
– getting 8 hours of sleep

This phase of my transformation is what I lovingly call my “detox phase” because instead of focusing on getting all the nitty gritty details of my training, food plans, and fitness right – I was instead able to focus on eliminating toxic habits that had taken up too much space in my life, and replacing them with new healthy habits.

I wanted to really focus on the basics. Eat clean, get lots of rest, drink lots of water. That’s it.

I’m really grateful that I gave myself these 30 days to just ‘reset’ and ‘get back to basics’. It’s these first 30 days that laid the foundation of habits and routines that propelled and supported me throughout the rest of my journey.

Day 30 – 60

This is the part of my journey that I like to call “phase 2”. This was me taking my fitness journey to the next level, adding more of a challenge, but also more momentum to my journey.

My priorities:
-get a coach
-start a training program
-lock in a meal plan

I started working with a CPT who was able to give me a meal guide, and plan a custom 8-week training program that is specific to my goals.

These 30 days are where I see the most significant in my physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Adding the CPT to my fitness journey has an absolute game changer. She didn’t just dive me a fitness program to follow. She gave me an accountability partner, a cheerleader, a tough-love mentor (because we all need that sometimes, and most importantly – she gave me a structured, step-by-step plan to reach my goals.

This created a domino effect in my life. It shifted my perspective and allowed me to see that my goals and dreams are not this abstract picture, thousands of miles away from where I am now… but instead that they are a series of action steps that I repeat day by day to bring me closer. One step at a time.

I cannot stress the significance of this perpective shift.

The idea that my goals could be broken down into strategic plans was revolutionary. It snapped me out of my analysis paralysis that I have been stuck in for years, and ignited the fire in my belly that I needed to start the next phase of my journey.

Day 60 – 90

This is the part of the journey that I lovingly refer to as my “blast off phase.”

Throughout these past 60 days (which is 8 weeks btw), I was consistent.

My non-negotiables:
– no alcohol
– following my meal plan
– 5 days of training per week
– drinking 2 liters of water
– getting 8 hours of sleep

When I say non-negotiable, I mean it. These were the boxes that needed to be checked every single day. Not a ‘guideline’ or a ‘goal’. These were things that I simply could not miss. Just like how we must clock-in and go to work, I viewed these things with the same absolution. They must be completed. No ‘if,s’, ‘and’s’, or ‘but’s’.

And because I was consistently showing up… I began to trust myself more. I began to trust that I follow through on the things that I say I’m going to do. I began to trust my willpower, and discipline. I felt more confident in my ability to complete tasks and show up for my commitments, even despite the inevitable bumps in the road that life brings us.

So I took it one step further.

I signed up for courses that I had been putting off for years. I began my Yoga Teacher Training course, a Nutrition Certification course, and a Life Coach Certification course.

I think I’m most proud of this. That I had the confidence and the bravery to sign up for ccourses that I know are more aligned with the life and career that I want to have in the future.

The Results:

I lost 15 lbs, 8 inches around my waist, and 2 dress sizes down.

But I’m so much more impressed with what I’ve gained.

I’ve gained trust in myself, confidence, willpower, determination, discipline, trust in the universe, and the belief in myself that I can, do and will accomplish anything that I set my mind to.

I’ve gained so much more than body confidence and feeling comfortable in my body. I was able to shift from an unhealthy and unsustainable lifestyle that kept me feeling stagnant and stuck for years, to a healthy lifestyle that is more aligned with my Highest and Best self.

So if this is the start of your journey, the middle, or the end of something that you have been working on. KEEP GOING.

Real transformations are slow, uncomfortable, and often require letting go of the things that are no longer serving us.

You got this.
